{"id":415,"date":"2013-02-12T12:47:57","date_gmt":"2013-02-12T12:47:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/qfuse.com\/blog\/?p=415"},"modified":"2013-02-12T12:47:57","modified_gmt":"2013-02-12T12:47:57","slug":"out-of-home-marketing-and-mobile-media","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qfuse.com\/blog\/out-of-home-marketing-and-mobile-media\/","title":{"rendered":"Out-of-home Marketing and Mobile Media"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/qfuse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/qr-code-01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-416\" alt=\"qr-code-01\" src=\"http:\/\/qfuse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/qr-code-01-300x199.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/qfuse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/qr-code-01-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/qfuse.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/qr-code-01.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The marketing and advertising market is changing.\u00a0 As more and more people transition to mobile for most of their media (roughly 50% of Americans now own a smartphone), traditional media, you would suspect, would be on its way out the door.\u00a0 This however is not the case.<\/p>\n<p>What marketers and advertisers are doing, if they are ahead of the curve, is finding ways to connect their mobile and traditional media.\u00a0 One of the most widely used ways of connecting such media is using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qfuse.com\/\">QR codes<\/a>.\u00a0 The QR codes allow marketers to connect the consumer to their brand.\u00a0 From here it becomes vitally important that the mobile landing page the consumer is taken to contains interesting and engaging content.\u00a0\u00a0 Assuming this is the case, marketers should ensure easy access from this information to all social media, as consumers are far more likely to share the interesting content on their various social networks.\u00a0 This in turn helps grow the brand and ensures a larger audience.<\/p>\n<p>Other ways marketers are connecting their mobile media to their traditional media is Bluetooth.\u00a0 This form of media allows marketers to push ads to the consumer when they enter certain physical areas, as long as the consumer has their Bluetooth set to \u201cdiscoverable.\u201d\u00a0 This allows the marketer to target the consumer when they are primed for visiting a store and pass along discounts, coupons or other information to draw the interest of a consumer.<\/p>\n<p>Another less used technology to connect offline and online media is the NFC chip.\u00a0 A number of phones on the market currently have the technology, though it still remains a minority.\u00a0 This NFC technology allows consumers to simply touch their phone to an ad or product and be directed to what is hopefully engaging mobile content.\u00a0 With the ultimate goal being to get the consumer to act in some desirable way, whether it is making a purchase online, in a store, or simply sharing the brand with friends on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Consumers currently spend a large chunk of their time on their mobile devices and it only continues to increase.\u00a0 This growth makes it incredibly important for marketers to focus on out-of-home advertising and providing engaging content that connects to their traditional media.\u00a0 Only by doing this can you have a truly successful marketing campaign in today\u2019s mobile world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The marketing and advertising market is changing.\u00a0 As more and more people transition to mobile for most of their media (roughly 50% of Americans now own a smartphone), traditional media, you would suspect, would be on its way out the door.\u00a0 This however is not the case.
